A visit to the castle museum offers a glimpse into the life of Westphalian country gentry of the past. It also illustrates how the castle’s owners have interpreted the spirit of the times at Schloss Lembeck during different periods – such as the Baroque, Rococo, Empire or Biedermeier eras.
A visit to the gallery showing the works of the artist Hans Hubertus von Merveldt is possible by prior arrangement.
The regional cultural association of Lembeck manages the museum in the attic of the main castle. The museum is open on Sundays and Public Holidays and displays a large variety of everyday utensils from local rural life over the centuries. Admission is free, but donations are welcome.
